Belmont must increase its commercial tax base to fund critical projects. This includes attracting higher-end developments and leveraging our city’s unique assets to draw investment. There is no other area in Gaston County that boasts the opportunities or natural assets of Belmont. We are perfectly situated for success, but we must be aware that quick, cheap growth is not the answer to create the economic future our residents desire and deserve.
